De in Brussel gevestigde Colombiaanse artieste Tatiana Zubieta (1985 Bogota) is een multidisciplinair kunstenares die fysieke materialen en hun transformatie onderzoekt via sculptuur, video, foto, installaties en collage.

Tatiana maakt gebruik van industriële apparatuur (metaal, motoren of draden) als basismateriaal voor haar werk: de kern van haar artistieke praktijk is het transformeren van gerecycleerde of gevonden materialen, in tegenstelling tot de winning en exploitatie van nieuwe materialen.

Momenteel werkt ze onder de naam 7Element en dwaalt ze door het gebied van de theorieën en percepties van kwantumfysica. Getriggerd door het bestaan van parallelle universums, roept zij elementen en dynamieken op die enkel bestaan in velden van het bestaan en die verborgen zijn voor onze dagelijkse ervaring.

Om deze te onthullen maakt ze gebruik van de beweging en dynamiek van haar kinetische sculpturen en installaties, die door zowel motoren als door fysieke elementen zoals lucht worden geactiveerd.

Tatiana uses industrial equipment (metal, engines or wires) as source material, repurposed for her work : core of her artistic practice is the transformation of recycled or found materials, as opposed to extraction and exploitation of new ones.

Currently working under the name of 7Element, she wanders through the fields of quantum physics theories and perception. Triggered by the existence of parallel universes, she evokes elements and dynamics existing in fields of existence hidden from our daily experience

In order to unfold them, she employs the movement and dynamism of her kinetic sculptures and installations, activated both by engines or physical elements like air.

Her work has been exhibited in France, Spain, Belgium (Botanique, Recyclart, L’Accroche, Zinneke)
