THEATRE OF THE OPPRESSED
Elke dinsdag host Globe Aroma Theatre of the Oppressed, een project van The Polymorphists en Syatre voor hun wekelijkse workshop.
De presentatie zal op 29 mei (18u) met het publiek worden gedeeld. Op die dag wordt ook het publiek actief (“spect-actors”). Samen zullen zij onze dagelijkse realiteit onderzoeken, debatteren, handelen en proberen te veranderen.

Over ‘Theatre of the Oppressed’
Theatre of the Oppressed is een unieke methode van participatief theater om sociale en politieke verandering op gang te brengen.
Deze methode werd in de jaren zestig in Brazilië ontwikkeld door Augusto Boal en wordt nu wereldwijd toegepast.
Doorheen de workshops, en met behulp van theatrale hulpmiddelen, zullen de deelnemers
– zichzelf leren kennen,
– hun lichaam en zijn grenzen ontdekken,
– hun ervaringen te deconstrueren
– en werken samen om scènes te creëren die gedeeld zullen worden in een “Forum Theater”.
De workshops worden geleid door :
Hakim Trabelsi en Omar Fassi Fehri, beiden acteurs van het theater van de onderdrukten.

Every Tuesday Globe Aroma hosts Theatre of the Oppressed, a project by The Polymorphists and Syatre for their weekly workshop.
The presentation will be shared with the public on May 29 (6pm). On that day, the audience becomes active too (“spect-actors”). Together, they will explore, debate, act and try to transform our everyday reality.

About ‘Theatre of the Oppressed’
Theatre of the Oppressed is a unique method of participatory theater to initiate social and political change. This method was developed in the 1960′ in Brasil by Augusto Boal and now practices all over the world.
Throughout the workshops, and with the use of theatrical tools, we will:
– get to know each other,
– discover our bodies and limitations,
– deconstruct lived experiences
– and work together on the creation of scenes that will be share within the frame of a “Forum-Theater”.
The workshops has been led by Hakim Trabelsi and Omar Fassi Fehri, both theater of the oppressed actors.
