Summer of Globe: Workshop coffeepainting with Abdou

Samen met Abdoukhadre BA leer je hoe koffie een uitstekende vervanger is van traditionele verf: wat zijn de uitzonderlijke kwaliteiten van koffie en hoe gebruik je het als verf? Kunst is voor Abdou een manier om verhalen te vertellen en de maatschappij een spiegel voor te houden, maar zoek vooral je eigen inspiratie om dit nieuwe medium mee te ontdekken. Deze workshop is open voor iedereen, ook voor families met kinderen! De workshop zal doorgaan in het Frans maar vertaling ter plekke is mogelijk. Abdou is al jaren actief als schilder. Hij ontwikkelde zijn koffie techniek uit noodzaak omdat hij niet altijd genoeg geld of toegang had tot gewone verf. Maar zijn nieuwe verftechniek bleef hem inspireren en hij heeft ondertussen een prachtig oeuvre met koffie-schilderijen opgebouwd. Abdou heeft zich naast het schilderen met koffie ook toegelegd op meer traditionele technieken op basis van acryl en pastel verf. De materiaalkeuze brengt voor hem ook een andere stijl met zich mee.

Together with Abdoukhadre BA you will learn how coffee is an excellent substitute for traditional paint: what are the exceptional qualities of coffee and how do you use it as paint? For Abdou, art is a way of telling stories and holding up a mirror to society, but above all find your own inspiration to discover this new medium. This workshop is open to everyone, including families with children! The workshop will be held in French but translations on the spot are possible. Abdou has been active as a painter for years. He developed his coffee technique out of necessity because he did not always have enough money or access to ordinary paint. But his new painting technique continued to inspire him and in the meantime he has built up a beautiful oeuvre of coffee paintings. In addition to painting with coffee, Abdou also devoted himself to more traditional techniques based on acrylic and pastel paint. The choice of materials also brings him a different style.
