* Black Box, een installatie waar je stem wordt verzameld. Het volgt op ‘Le Filet’, een meeslepende audiovisuele installatie van het collectief Imazi.Reine, waarin je je kunt onderdompelen in de zorgen, angsten en ongerustheid van een moeder die wacht op een antwoord van haar zoon, die gearresteerd is. De ervaring is bedoeld om meer begrip te kweken voor de gevolgen van politiegeweld voor hele gezinnen en gemeenschappen, die zelf ook slachtoffer zijn.
Fatima-Zohra Ait El Maâti is een jonge documentairemaakster die in haar dagelijks werk durf en scherpzinnigheid combineert. Ze studeert momenteel én is al enige tijd actief als initiatiefneemster van het Brusselse feministische collectief Imazi.Reine, gedreven door een sterk verlangen naar zelfbeschikking en de herinnering aan de Noord-Afrikaanse vrouwenrechtenbewegingen. Ze is sterk beïnvloed door haar Amazigh roots en het belang van matriarchale macht van haar voorouders. Als gepassioneerd feministe behandelt zij complexe kwesties als religie, seksualiteit, immigratie en dekolonisatie en ziet zij gemeenschapswerk als een oplossing voor collectief welzijn. Omdat inclusie zinloos is, is zij radicaal inclusief.

It follows ‘Le Filet’, an immersive audiovisual installation by the Imazi.Reine collective that allows you to immerse yourself in the concerns, fears and anxiety of a mother waiting for an answer from her son who has been arrested. The experience aims to better understand the impact of police brutality on entire families and communities, who are also victims themselves.
Fatima-Zohra Ait El Maâti is a young documentary filmmaker who combines audacity and discernment in her daily work. She is currently a student, but has already been working for some time, notably as the initiator of the Brussels-based feminist collective Imazi.Reine, driven by a strong desire for self-determination and the memory of North African women’s rights movements. Strongly influenced by her Amazigh roots and the importance she attaches to the matriarchal power of her ancestors, Ait El Maâti focuses mainly on indigeneity. A passionate feminist, she tackles complex issues such as religion, sexuality, immigration and decolonisation and sees community work as a solution to collective well-being. Since inclusion is meaningless, she is radically inclusive.
