AFA goes Éléphant (Bouchra Ouizguen – Kunstenfestivaldesarts)

Bouchra Ouizguen is een Marokkaanse danseres-choreografe die geboren is in 1980 in Ouarzazate. Ze leeft en werkt in Marrakesh waar ze betrokken is bij de ontwikkeling van een lokale dansscène sinds 1998.

De Éléphant van Bouchra Ouizguen is een collectief lichaam. Zijn gefragmenteerd bestaan vloeit voort uit de bewegingen van de vier dansers op het podium, die hun identiteit en stem uitlenen aan dit wezen.

Bouchra Ouizguen is a Moroccan dancer and choreographer. Born in 1980 in Ouarzazate, she now lives and works in Marrakech where since 1998 she has been involved in developing a local dance scene.

The Éléphant of Bouchra Ouizguen is a collective body. Its fragmented existence is brought forth by the movements of four dancers on stage, who give their identity and voice to it.
