On 6 December Art For All goes to Drawing Fiesta.

DRAWING FIESTA is a Brussels-based creative workshop series that celebrates the city’s diverse languages through drawing and storytelling. After our inaugural Fiesta at Muntpunt, we will move the party at Vroom, for a weekly workshop.

In these workshops, guided by two artists with distinct mother tongues, participants will explore language nuances in a three-hour session. We’ll immerse ourselves in sayings, sentence structures, politeness, reading directions and phrases.

This workshop will focus specifically on Lithuanian & Bulgarian.

Boris Pramatarov is a Bulgarian Visual Artist based in Belgium, MA in Graphic Art, Royal Academy of Fine Arts (KASK), Ghent (BE).

His comics “A Short Story About Communication / Love” is the winner of Fumetto World Comics Competition, Luzern 2017. His illustrations have been published in The New York Times, The New Yorker, De Standaard (BE) and he has made drawings for Volcom (Amsterdam), Dr. Martens (Ghent), adidas Originals (Moscow).

Indrė Svirplytė is lithuanian and currently based in Brussels.

She uses drawing and tapestry to immerse the viewer in a mythological realm populated by strange characters. Her motifs draw from religious iconography: from the garden of bliss or the final judgment, as well as from her daydreams and personal experiences.
