Artistic Workplace
Through the artistic workplace, Globe Aroma supports artists by providing them with a space to work and think, access to tools, and a professional network in the art field. Globe Aroma specifically works with people in forced displacement (refugees, asylum seekers, stateless people,…). People who, due to their precarious citizenship status, may face particular obstacles in accessing the art field and engaging in artistic activities.
To become part of the artistic workplace, we encourage artists to reach out to Globe Aroma to discuss with the team and co-design a tailored trajectory.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
We support artists working in the visual arts (for example, drawing, painting, installation, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, jewelry, textiles, and so on). The support we offer is described above.
Artists with a photographic, video, or audiovisual practice are welcome to use our spaces and network. However, we currently have a limited media lab at your disposal (Adobe suite, camera, graphic tablet).
Artists with a dance, theatre, or performance practice can use our rehearsal space. We mainly support performative practices in their early stages.
