Mélopée is a music group founded by Kaspy Ndia, a musician from the Democratic Republic of Congo. He graduated from the Institut National des Arts de Kinshasa in 2010.

From 2010 to 2013, he worked with War Child and O.S.E.P.E.R (organization for the supervision, support and protection of street children) as a volunteer to support children who have lost their families and are victims of the wars in the Democratic Republic of Congo. At the same time, he also worked with children suffering from this incurable disease from the organization Anémique SS. He did this with the Jesuit brothers, giving them a taste of life.

In 2013, he participated in Aimé Césaire’s play “A Season in the Congo,” directed by Joe Wright and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui in London. Also, Chiwetel Ejiofor, who starred in “12 Years a Slave,” and Daniel Kaluuya, who starred in “Black Panther.”

In 2014, he participated in the play “Genesis” in China with Yabin Wang, Chinese dancer and actress. She plays in “The Secret of the Flying Daggers.” Then followed: “Fractus V,” “Stoic” at the Gothenburg Opera in Sweden. Later on, she also starred in “Mea culpa” at the Flemish Opera in Belgium, “Nomad” and “4D+” with Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. He has been the choreographer of Beyoncé and artistic director of the Grand Théâtre in Geneva.

He also played guitar in the studio recordings of some Antwerp musicians such as Tourist Le Mc (“Ubuntu”, …), T-love (“Married to the beat”) or Joeri in a Francis Cabrel cover.

In 2019, he creates “Mélopée” with his friends Paola Pica and Sam Wuyts.
