AFA goes Vaderlandloos

On april 7, Art For All goes to Vaderlandloos.

On his identity card was not “Belgian,” not “South African,” but VADERLANDLOOS, in large letters. As a child, he then created his own country, where he went to live with all his demons. In this uplifting and haunting performance, Junior Mthombeni, together with his musical companions, takes you on a trip. A trip in which he interweaves his family history and his own story and shares it with the audience. Sometimes subdued, serene and vulnerable, sometimes loud, raw and combative. Juniors words and the live music pierce your soul but also offer a warm refuge for all who seek their place in life and in this world.
