James Brandon Lewis, an American tenor saxophonist, is known for his intense sound and powerful melodies in modern jazz. With over 10 records as a bandleader since his debut in 2010, he explores a wide range of styles, from blues to gospel and punk improvisations. His quartet, known for skillful compositions, provides complex harmonies to complement Lewis’s bold saxophone playing. Their latest album, “Transfiguration,” continues this trend with eight tracks of angular and explosive experimentation.

We will gather with the group at Globe Aroma at 8 PM.
