On June 29, Art For All goes to Festival Congolisation: Hendrickx Ntela.

For this edition of the festival, Congolisation is giving carte blanche to krump dancer
Hendrickx Ntela. She is filling that open invitation with her performance Blind and two other
new creations. Hendrickx Ntela and Pierre Dexter Belleka, both dancers and
choreographers, found each other in their love for krump culture. The inspiration for the
performance Blind came from their analysis of the impact of political conflict on the
population. Five dancers, brought together by krump culture from Belgium, Spain, France
and Senegal, are confronted with the same story, in different places around the world. Each
character, with their own story, reacts in their own way to the discourse of the established
order.
Hendrickx Ntela is a Congolese (freelance) dancer and choreographer from Verviers. She is
one of the first Belgian krumpers to create performances in which krump plays a prominent
role. Krump is an energetic and acrobatic hip-hop – dance form, which also uses mime and
wild African tribal dance.

We will meet with the group at Globe Aroma at 7:45 pm.
