Abou SY

Singer, guitarist, composer, arranger.
Born in Dakar, Senegal.
He received his musical education at the Nationale des Arts in Dakar. Between 1999 and 2015, he was part of Senegalese RAP groups.Since his arrival in Europe, he has continued his musical journey as a self-taught on the one hand and by being part of several groups on the other, including Kunigi Fanga and Stemmagnifique with whom he regularly performed in concerts.
Since 2015, he performs with his group compositions and adaptations of traditional Senegalese music genres, surrounded by the guitarist Alpha Athie and keyboard player Kaat De Windt.

ALPHA ATHIEG

Guitarist
Born in Atar in Mauritania.
Self-taught, he started playing guitar in 1990 with the traditional music of his country.
Lulled by African music, inspired by reggae but strongly influenced by artists such as Jimmy Hendrix, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, Diabate Bembeya Jazz, Carlos Santana. He is quickly introduced to broader perspectives. Currently mastering 6 different musical genres: traditional African, reggae, Rock, Blues, Oriental and Cuban.

KAAT DE WINDT
Pianist, composer
Born in Brussels, Belgium
After her studies at the Brussels Conservatory, she devoted several years to the contemporary music repertoire. She composed and created (as a pianist) music for several dance productions, silent films, for contemporary music ensembles

She formed her own group “White Wine Dark Grapes” (contemporary jazz) and the music-theater company “La Dea”. She regularly performs solo or with the singers Angélique Wilkie, Isnelle Da Silveira, Lucy Grauman, Reena Riot, the guitarist/bassist Jean-Yves Evrard, Mirko Banovic and the drummers Etienne Plumer and Eric Thielemans. She created music for music-theater productions directed by Guy Dermul/KVS:” Barakstad ” Skieven ” ” Mest/Hunger for trade ” She created original music for the music-theater production “Tanto amore”, directed by Simonne Moesen.
In 2015 she formed her new band between pop, world music and contemporary jazz with her compositions “Princess4president”.
