Kled Kapexhiu

Kled is theatre director and photographer born in Tirana, living and working in Brussels.

After studying fine arts at a young age, he graduated in theatre directing from the Academy of Arts in Tirana and pursued his interest in filmmaking at the European Film College in Ebeltoft. He has been experimenting with different media, ranging from painting and photography to video and stage performance.

His work is a continuous research for the seamlessness coexistence of narration and the medium’s expressive features. It is in this very conjunction that the “acts” are born, out of necessity to claim themselves as a byproduct of storytelling and form. Accepting ambiguity as a constant reality, he considers his art as a physical act, building upon intent and improvisation.
