Het beeld van het festival belicht dit jaar het werk van Youssef Moukil, een kunstenaar die actief is in de artistieke werkplek van Globe Aroma.
Youssef maakt driedimensionaal werk uit ijzerdraad. Hij werkt hierbij figuratief naar waarneming waarbij hij ijzerdraad transformeert tot autonome sculpturen.
Voor het festival werkte Youssef samen met Elias Cafmeyer aan een sculpturale installatie die hij in Globe Aroma zelf wil tentoonstellen. Het werk is voor hem site specifiek aangezien dit de plek is waar hij zich echt thuis voelt. Hier kan hij de deur naar de buitenwereld even sluiten en gewoon plezier vinden in het maken van kunstwerken. Zijn sculpturen zijn dan ook een uiting van dit gevoel van vrijheid die hij in Globe Aroma kan ervaren.

This year, the image of the festival highlights the work of Youssef Moukil, an artist active in the workspace of Globe Aroma. Youssef creates three-dimensional works with wire. He works figuratively from observations, transforming wires into autonomous sculptures.
For the festival, Youssef worked with Elias Cafmeyer on a sculptural installation. The work is connected to Globe Aroma, as it is where Youssef really feels at home. Here he can close the door to the outside world for a while and find the pleasure of making art. His sculptures are therefore an expression of the feeling of freedom he can experience in Globe Aroma.
