ESPACE FXMME * 2020 * THE BEGINNING

In the beginning of 2020, Espace Fxmme was officially founded as a platform that offers a safe(r) space for women, artists and creatives within Globe Aroma.

From spring 2020 onwards, a group of women have been meeting on a weekly basis at Globe Aroma for the purpose of co-creating artistic projects which focus on sisterhood, female icons and a safer use of the space. These activities make it possible to build a social and artistic network, and discover and develop creative competencies.

The year 2020 began with a series of DJing workshops during which we learned how to use the equipment and mix. Besides that, a slam poetry workshop with Sarah Bekambo and a bodily practices workshop were hosted. However, when the pandemic hit, all activities were postponed until 2021.
