Conté Morlaye

Conté Morlaye was born in 1987 in Conakry, Guinea. From an early age, Conté has lived for painting. In Guinea, Morlaye studied art and later opened a studio. He also completed an internship at the National Art Museum of Conackry. His paintings depicted the atrocities of the Guinean army, which would later get him into trouble. In 2010, he decided to leave the country and continue his painting and drawing skills here in Belgium. In his works you will find very colorful scenes on the one hand and naive black and white drawings on the other. The themes around which he works refer to his childhood in Guinea.
