Op 8 december gaat Art For All naar The American Roots Jam Session & Initiation bal .

Bluegrass, old time, Irish music from across the Atlantic, folk from Quebec.

The American Roots Jam Session is een sessie die gretig snuistert in de folk muziek van de Verenigde Staten en Canada, strijkt terug neer bij Muziekpublique. Op het repertoire: Old-time of Hillbilly-muziek met ronkende namen als “Chiquapin Hunting” of “Sal’s Got Mud between her Toes”. Ontdek de Brusselse Bruce Molsky of Rhiannon Giddens of nog beter: breng je banjo, gitaar, mandoline, viool, accordeon, lepels of washboard mee en smijt je in een vrolijke jam sessie. 

Kom gerust wat vroeger en doe mee met de initiatie van ‘Square Dance’; een old-time dans die je met meerdere personen op een plein wordt beoefend. Je wordt helemaal ondergedompeld in de Amerikaanse folk cultuur!

On December 8, Art For All goes to The American Roots Jam Session & Initiation bal.

The American Roots Sessions, a jam session that eagerly snaps in the folk music of the United States and Canada, is taking place at Muziekpublique. On the repertoire: bluegrass, old time, Irish music from across the Atlantic, cool folk from Quebec and fiddle tunes with roaring names like “Chiquapin Hunting” or “Sal’s Got Mud between her Toes”. Discover the Brussels’ Bill Monroe or Bela Fleck or even better: bring your banjo, guitar, mandolin, violin, accordion, spoons or washboard with you and throw you in a cheerful jam session.

Come early and participate in the initiation of ‘Square dance‘, an old-time dance that is practiced by several people in a square. A dive into the folk culture of the USA and its origins!

We meet up with the group at Globe Aroma at 7pm.
