With Trying Things Out, some of the artists active in Globe Aroma’s artistic workplace open a window into their music, theater, or performative projects still in the making. The evening at Theatre de la Vie is conceived as a tapestry of try-outs, excerpts, or shorter versions of works in development brought together, one after the other.

Given the in-progress — fragile — nature of these projects, Trying Things Out is for the attentive and caring eyes of those who want to witness artistic research, without expecting finished and polished works. On stage, you can expect sound and songs, memories passed down through generations, stories of motherhood, glimpses of catwalk performances and more. We’ll wrap up the evening with a DJ set to delight your ears!

Rémi Sarmini – God, May Your Will Be Done
A powerful piece on loss and resilience, inspired by Pietà. Sarmini, founder of Tajroubeh Troupe & Artveda Bruxelles, explores the grief of mothers who lost children to war or exile. With Samar Kokach & Ilias Largo.

Nastasiia (Nastasya Kharytonova) – My Bird of Hope
A tribute to her grandmother, mixing storytelling, cooking, and sculpting to bring memories to life on stage. Nastasiia creates a heartfelt connection between past and present, honoring the lessons that shape us.

Queenvanillaice – Berceuse Géorgienne
A mother, a lullaby, a lost child. Queenvanillaice blends traditional Georgian songs, national dances, and contemporary drag, weaving lip-sync, storytelling, and movement into a powerful reflection on war and its impact on families.

Samar Kokach – Samar
Journey through childhood, motherhood, and the impact of revolution. A true story with dramatic treatment by Omar Al Jbaai. With Rémi Sarmini
