Liaison Music

Liaison Music is a collective founded on the principles of social justice, equality, and solidarity.

Rooted in the recognition of the struggles faced by queer migrant musicians in Europe—who often encounter cultural and economic oppression while being excluded from mainstream music scenes—the collective strives to create an inclusive and supportive environment.

Its mission is to establish a stigma-free, queer-inclusive music network; to provide a safe physical space where artists can gather, rehearse, and share resources such as networks, equipment, and knowledge; and to foster a platform through which musicians can connect, collaborate, and engage with cultural organizations in Brussels and beyond.

Liaison Music was initiated in 2023 by Ami (Mariami Ochigava), Erekle Mgeladze, and Stela Namgaladze, specifically with and for queer musicians with a migration background. Since May 2023, the collective has been based at Globe Aroma, where it holds a dedicated rehearsal space.

The collective is committed to amplifying marginalized voices through music, providing a space where lived experiences can be expressed, shared, and celebrated. Believing in the transformative power of music to unite people and inspire social change, Liaison Music works to challenge dominant cultural narratives, promote diversity and inclusivity, and contribute to building a more just and sustainable world.
