Throwback to September, Art for You(th) kicked off a new series “FUTURE CITIES!” -a creative workshop inviting youngsters to reimagine Brussels in the next century; led by artist Charlotte Boddaert, where they gathered in and for public space. Every Wednesday, you could find Art4Youth in the city center, creating the city of their dreams. Together, they let their imagination run free, envisioning the city, creating dialogue with the streets, trees, even inventing new traffic lights. Together, they crafted a city that reflects their visions, in art works and temporary installations – a Brussels through the lens of tomorrow.

The series wrapped up with a warm gathering that concluded with a communal dinner. This moment of reflection allowed the youngsters to look back on their works and the visions of a future city that they brought to life, after re-imagining and re-inventing Brussels for a month. As they shared their creations and dreams for the city 100 years from now, they celebrated not only their art, but also the connections that grew along this process.

This project was possible thanks to the support of VGC, Stad Brussel, Anais Maes.
