CO-DESIGN ATELIERS NEW ENTRANCE DOOR 🚪

What does a welcoming door look like, one that greets people regardless of their background, passport, or past traumas? A door that doesn’t exclude, but offers safety and removes barriers, especially for those who already face countless obstacles in the city. Since 2023, Globe Aroma has been exploring this question. During this period, we have reflected on the hospitality and accessibility of a door through public conversations, walks past various doors in Brussels, and imagination workshops.

Starting at the end of September, the final design of Globe Aroma’s new entrance door will be developed in a series of co-design workshops with the architects from Studio Campus. Between October and December, four members of Globe Aroma’s community will then join the Zinneke metal workshop to assist with the door’s fabrication.
