Globe Aroma offre aux artistes du temps, support, infrastructure et un réseau. Au fil des ans, divers artistes ont créé une grande collection d’œuvres d’art dans notre studio. La plupart de ces œuvres ont déjà trouvé un nouvel horizon, mais après toutes ces années (depuis 2002 !), un nombre d’œuvres attendent toujours un avenir.
Dans le projet « Learning to say goodbye », Globe Aroma initiera un rituel pour les artistes, les amateurs d’art et notre réseau solidaire. Nous documenterons, archiverons et nous sélectionnerons avec un œil aimant quelles œuvres feront partie de la collection permanente (mobile) de Globe Aroma et pour quelles œuvres nous devons trouver un nouveau futur.
« Learning to say goodbye » est un exercice artistique et pratique : comment documenter une grande collection d’œuvres d’art, comment l’emballer et comment la stocker et la cataloguer au mieux ? Comment faire des choix, comment apprendre à se séparer d’une œuvre ?

Globe Aroma offers time, mentorship, infrastructure and a network to artists. Throughout the years various artists created a large collection of artworks in our studio. Most of these works have found a new home somewhere, but after all these years (since 2002!) an incalculable number of the works is still waiting for a future in our studio.
Under the title « Learning to say goodbye » Globe Aroma will initiate a ritual for artists, art lovers and our solidarity network. We will document, archive and select with a loving eye which works will be part of Globe Aroma’s permanent (mobile) collection and for which works we need to find a new home/future.
« Learning to say goodbye » is an artistic and practical exercise: how do you document a large collection of artworks, how do you pack it up and how do you best store and catalogue it? How do you make choices, how do you learn to let go of a work?
