SUMMER OF GLOBE 2021: TRANSFORMATIONS (WORKSHOP)
Net zoals de rituele maskers van Voodoo of de Dogon specifieke kenmerken en rollen hebben, willen wij een workshop voorstellen die de deelnemers de gelegenheid zal geven een verhaal te vertellen via het masker. Een verhaal dat eigen is aan hun leven, dat een fragment kan zijn, een gebeurtenis, belangrijk of niet, een droom, een herinnering, een sensatie, een kleur die ze mooi vinden, een dier, of een verhaal uit hun verbeelding, alles is mogelijk…
In deze workshop zal de deelnemer de tijd moeten nemen om stil te staan bij een gedenkwaardig, fictief of zintuiglijk element, erover na te denken en zijn creativiteit in dienst te stellen van de hertaling ervan in het masker.
In the same way that Voodoo or Dogon ritual masks have specific characteristics and roles, we would like to propose a workshop that will give participants the opportunity to tell a story through the mask. A story specific to their life, which can be a fragment, an event, important or not, a dream, a memory, a feeling, a color that they like, an animal, or a story from their imagination everything is possible…
By this workshop the participant will have to take the time to stop on a memorial, fictional or sensory element and to think about it and to put his creativity in the service of its retranscription in the mask.
